The Legislation Committees consider proposals for new legislation by taking evidence, usually from the member who put forward the legislation, stakeholders and other experts.

Scrutiny Committees

These Committees have been established to last for the life of the Third Assembly to examine the Government's policies, actions and spending in their particular fields. They can call Ministers to account and also keep an eye on government bodies and agencies within those fields.
